I am glad you made it to my page! Here's a little bit about me- I was born in the Foothills of the mountains of South Carolina, a little town called Inman. My family moved a lot- we lived in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Georgia before moving back to Spartanburg SC where I graduated from Dorman High School. I managed to squeeze 4 years of college into 6, spending 2 each at Brevard, Georgia State, and USC-Spartanburg (now USC-Upstate). I spent a few years working for Milliken Research, spent time working for Civilian Personnel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, and then went to graduate school/seminary at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. I have served churches across South Carolina.
I enjoy hiking, playing guitar, reading, writing, and traveling with my wife and traveling companion, Cathy. While we do not have children, we are the world's best uncle and aunt, and have three cats that run our household.
While growing up in and out of church, I came to a personal relationship with Jesus in my teen years, and I have been growing in it ever since. I love serving others in his name, and finding out new and wonderful things about God and this world God has created. And I look forward to growing in that relationship forever.
